I thoroughly enjoyed Frederica!
The research is very well done — I kept forgetting that Heyer wrote in the mid-20th century. The characters are engaging and funny, (Felix has my heart 😂) the plotting is lighthearted and touching, and it’s just a pleasurable romp as a whole.
I wouldn’t recommend it to flighty young girls as the hero is what I would describe as morally grey, but he is redeemable enough that I personally did not find it repulsive. In fact, his character was one of my favorites 😂 Keep your head on straight and this book won’t do you any harm! In fact, I found it to be an excellent use of my time.
Now I must avoid being a “dead bore” as Lord Alverstoke says and go about my business. I’ve detained you long enough — get back to reading!
