I am actively trying to like this series. My problem is not the adult fairy tale aspect of this book. My problem is that while trying to portray what the author refers to as "alpha males" she ends up making the lead females doormat like. While I am hardly the poster girl for "I am Woman, hear me Roar" this is a recurrent problem in this series. I like a lot about these series (since this is book 4)- I like a little fantastical magic, and am intrigued at a lot of things, but I am getting disgusted with a lot too. Why do these women keep putting up with it? I don't think Stockholm syndrome happens in 2 days. Arrgh. The things I really like about Kristen Ashley are still in these books, but this railroading of the female leads is getting to me.
