The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

3.0

I was hoping for a murder mystery I couldn't figure out. I looked at the reviews an had high hopes. Those hopes were squished down to nothing. I figured out who did it before the murder even happened. The plot followed the most basic murder progression I've ever seen. Predicting the murder isn't that big of a deal, I've predicted the ending of five star books before. But I had no interest in the motive.
Besides the lack of interesting plot, the writing was boring. It was either dialogue or telling me what happened. I was overall disappointed with the whole book, especially considering Agatha Christie has so many other novels. I'm not particularly inclined to read the rest of her books.
The only reason I gave this three stars is because I was entertained for 286 pages. I didn't hate it, but I certainly didn't love it.
