Paper Towns by John Green

"The fundamental mistake I had always made- and that she had, in fairness, always lead me to make- was this: Margo was not a miracle. She was not an adventure. She was not a fine and precious thing. She was a girl."

This novel is about a senior named Quentin, who has had a major crush on his childhood friend/ IT girl in his high school. Margo is a beautiful young lady who lives a life full of adventure and thrill. One night when she shows up at Q's window looking to "right some wrongs" done to her... Quentin thinks this will be the best night of his life. Until he realizes that this is Margo's final goodbye to her small life in Florida. When Margo goes missing, she leaves clues that seem to be just for Q. So now it is his turn to uncover where the infamous Margo Roth Spiegelman has run off too.

I hope I live the rest of my life without hearing "Margo Rothh Speigelman" ever again. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the other reviews saying that Q was "obsessed" with Margo. However, I don't think this girl was even remotely worth all the struggle. She reminds me a lot of a small town Serena Van Der Woodsen. The girl that will never be pleased. EVER.

I have also decided that I am incapable of resinating with a book that has an "underlying theme/ lesson" to it. I did really enjoy reading about Q and his friend's adventures in this book, however I lost interest the minute it involved a "deeper meaning". I understand that this is what John Green does in each of his novels.... but I just can't connect with it.

Quinten's friends, on the other hand, are AMAZING and so so funny! I love how they incorporate her friend into it as well! I just hate the pairing of lacy and Ben. I thought the entire time that Q and Lacey should have ended up together!
