This was such a fantastic and impactful book. This was the first book written in verse I've ever read, and it was fantastic. Acevedo has such a way with words. The way she puts her characters onto the paper is amazing, and I felt so bad for both of the girls, the hurt they were going through at losing their father and then the confusion and hope they felt at finding out they had a sister. So fantastic!
