Absolutely amazing take on a very dark time in history, anyone who is a lover of history and action would adore this book. The characters are easy to love yet also so flawed, it was amazing to follow their journey during the defeats and victories of WW2, with comedic relief of course. The fact that these characters were real people makes it that much more moving and emotional. I also loved that at the very end of the book, the authors make a historical note to mention what was changed from actual events and people for the sake of the story out of respect for those involved.
