This book had a great idea but fell flat in the delivery for me. The majority of the book felt slow but there were some moments throughout that made me keep going.
Light spoilers ahead…
I felt confused about why the two main characters fell in love. I felt like they had fairly limited interactions with each other where those feelings could be fostered. While I did see why the MMC appealed to the FMC, I can’t say the same the other way around. It wasn’t until the very end that I really felt like she had much personality traits that redeemed her bad attitude throughout the rest of the book. And in the end the author killed off the only two male friends that the MMC has which basically ends any witty banter.
I might finish the series someday but it’s not a priority read for me now.
