This book was a definate 5 stars. I should have known after reading the bdb series how talented Ward is at story telling! This book has everything from the down and out heroine who you want to root for. The drama, suspense, fight between good/evil, and eventually love all make this a worthwhile read. In this genre it is hard to find books where the plot and story don't take a backseat to the sex and romance. This book however includes all of the above, but in the right amount. I have to admit while reading this on my computer in the airport there were some parts that I hoped no one was reading over my shoulder! I look forward to the the second book to continue this journey!
