Wicked Fox
by Kat Cho
I wanted to like this book so badly, but after a literal year of reading it, I finally put this book on my abandoned pile. This book has so many elements I like: stolen souls, shapeshifting foxes, questions of what it means to be human, Korean folklore, delicious descriptions of food, a setting that really engages your senses, romantic elements.
Unfortunately, the relationship between the two characters was very flat. YA books often have a "we have met and it's magic" piece and I can handle that, but the WAY that these characters met was SO EXCITING!!! THere could have been...something!!!!
Instead, maybe it's just the male protagonist felt very flat. not sure.
Either way, i was highly anticipating this book, it has so many elements I love, it looked like everything i wanted, but i couldn't make myself finish it.
