Windwitch by Susan Dennard
5.0

Although I enjoyed the first book more, I absolutely loved this! I can totally see myself loving it as much, if not more than the first one when I go back and reread it. My reading of this was patchy and distracted, which really detracted from the experience, but oh well!

First off, I want to commend Dennard for cutting down on the number of perspectives. In the first book, I was constantly counting the pages until we got to an Isuelt/Audeun chapter, and although I still did that, I found myself enjoying the other characters too. All of them got uper important development, so I'm super excited to see where it takes them!

Like I said in my review of Truthwitch, Audeun and Isuelt are one of my favorite ships of all time!! And this book gave us even more of them together!! Do you know how satisfying it is to read an enemies to lovers that isn't insta love? It's absolutely amazing! And these two have so much chemistry. Every one of their scenes is filled with angst, and its perfect. If they don't get together in the next one, I might just die.

On top of them being amazing, we also have huge development in Vivia. Near the beginning, I wasn't too sure about her chapters. They kind of irritated me. As we got to see more of her though, I really grew to love her, she's the perfect morally grey character.

I'm super happy that Safi seems to be getting a new love interest, because Merik is not anyone I'm interested in reading about. I mean, he's ok. That's it though. Caden on the other hand, is one of the most interesting characters I've ever read, and I need to know more about him!

Well, I'm cutting this review short so I can avoid my tbr and start Bloodwitch, so I guess this is it! But seriously, this book is amazing, and everyone needs to read this series.
