I think this is a 3.5/5 for me 🤔 the jury is out. Also I need the people to know that I started this book at 9:30 last night & finished at 1 this morning,, I told y’all I know how to read! 🫵🏾
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would especially bc I don’t really read books like this. I think Freida did a good job of creating curiosity & making things just a little bit off so you would wanna keep reading but I did feel like the writing could’ve been SO much better. I’m not one to notice writing styles but sometimes it just felt so bleh. There was no atmosphere or scene setting it was just like “here’s the information, no frills” which some people might like. I would’ve enjoyed it more if it committed to the creepiness that a psych thriller is supposed to be. There was a good bit of trope subversion I feel like & I did enjoy that part.
Also, the end was so anticlimactic & felt v rushed :( BUT the last chapter does make me wanna read the next book so Freida won this round!
