this one was more stupid and boring. hope the third can bring it home but i doubt there is much in the third book to impress me. this really could have been put into one book or two. but a trilogy? jesus christ. i already know one plot twist in the next book. Aiden definitely is the one who shot Elsa. Too much foreshadowing in this book. And it was obvi the entire time that Knox was her brother or some strange shit. god i hope the next book is less sex and more plot. i hope the rest of this series is that way. its annoying that we only get tidbits of the plot through boring sex scenes that are repetitive and unnecessary. is it possible for someone to write dark romance with closed-door scenes? i'm not even a fucking prude, it's just smut is like the lowest form of nsfw content in my open. god. i hope reading this was worth it. the next book better have a payoff or i'm pissed
