It took me a bit to figure out what I wanted to rate this one. I have read all the other Bishop books previously and for me this one fell a bit short of some previous ones. I thought of rating it higher because I did love the characters in this one. Hollis is one of my favorites. Callie's interaction with her dog, Cesar, was interesting and added some fun.
The Hollis/DeMarco parts of the book were great, loved them and seeing what was going on there.
The Bishop parts well got a bit tiresome being the same old "gonna bite you in the ass someday" stuff.
The Callie/Luther parts made me think of some of her older romance works with 2 people trapped together just talking.
The bad guy parts were short and didn't quite catch the same creepy factor as she has previously done.
The book was a bit more telling then showing. It made the wrap up not as suspenseful as some of her previous works. The redeeming factor keeping me from not giving a lower rating is liking the characters.
