Every Day Gets a Little Closer: A Twice-Told Therapy by Irvin D. Yalom, Ginny Elkin

4.0

For me this was a 3.5 star read. I really liked the double POVs because it allows you to see how differently the client sees things. Like sometimes there are things that appear very simple and have very apparent solutions but when you get into the clients head you have the opportunity to realise why it is so difficult to execute said solutions.

Ginnys writing wasn’t the strongest point of this book and I would not have cared about this if Ginny wasn’t involved with writing as her job. Maybe because she was a writer made it harder for her to write something that was simple and expressive, it felt kinda forced and over embellished at some points.

Overall I likes this book a lot, it really shows you how sometimes things aren’t as scary as your mind thinks and emphasizes the importance of taking small steps towards overcoming your fears
