Book 9 in the Argeneau series, Vampire, Interrupted, is Marguerite and Julius' story and takes place almost concurrently with book 8. Marguerite, who has helped all her children, her nephew, and of her brothers-in-law find their life mates, finally finds her own. You learn a lot more about her previous husband and the danger and conflict is related to things that took place over 500 years ago.
Since immortals have fated life-mates, this was instant lust/love, but I'm totally fine with that. While there were some issues due to a lack of communication they were resolved fairly quickly and were related to the overall conflict in the book.
This series is one of my comfort reads and has been since I first met the Argeneau family back in 2004 or so. When I find a series I enjoy, I go back and re-read all the books from the beginning before shortly before a new one comes out. Considering the 37th book in the series comes out in a few months, it was time to dive into this world again. At this point, I've read some of the books in the series over 30 times and still enjoy them as much as I did the first time.
