This book continues the trend of its predecessor and really focusses hard on the overarching story and Mystery and that was something that I really liked about it.
The humor felt more reminiscent of my favorite book of the series so far, Foxglove Summer, and I also think that the newer characters feel much more integrated in this one than in the previous book.
We even get a friend for everyone’s favorite fae Molly who also gets a fair bit of development in this one.

Also this book had a cool mixup of historical and mythological stuff as it dives into the stories of King Arthur and Excalibur and whether they actually maybe we're a thing. A lot of pretty funny lines come from this “Mystery”.
Notably this book was quite a bit faster paced than all the other books which felt a bit odd, but overall I think I liked it.
I also thought that this book had a very good climax that brought everything together in a really cool way (although some of the antagonist's motivations remain pretty unclear) and also serves as somewhat of a game changer for whatever is next in the series.
I don’t think the book was quite as good as my favorite of the series so far but I was just another really solid entry to this whimsical, supernatural detective series.
