i would give up everything in my life to read any and everything emily henry ever writes

emily henry, you are evil. i love you.

also, buckle up girls with daddy issues - this is going to absolutely fuck you up at some points.

this book introduced me to a new subgenre of myself; i have always been, until recently, a we-girl. someone who attaches themselves to someone new and is completely absorbed by them. someone who collects aspects of the people they're with and forms them into themselves so much they don't know when they begin, or if there even is a string of themselves in them anymore; you've just become a culmination of other people you've molded yourself around so you're more accessible to them. there's also the way emily henry has put into words the feeling of shrinking yourself so you're more easily digestible for other people. daphne and miles, for me, are the most relatable characters henry's ever written. they're both interchangeably the mirrorball- and the archer-coded.
there isn't much i could write without including any spoilers so i'll leave it as mostly this for now. this was such a therapeutic read for me, especially during a pivotal scene for daphne toward the end.

also -- peter, petra... you WILL be dealt with.
