I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. This has gotta be one of the best novels I've read in a while. R.F. Kuang's writing was brilliant. This book is heartbreaking, grotesque, and tragically descriptive though I must admit I'm not entirely unfamiliar. This spoke of many atrocities that our world has gone through in the past. Rin is a badass heroine (villain?? im not sure yet) and I really can't blame her for the decisions and path she took.

I can't wait to read the next one!!
