More than anything, Fallen Angels suffers from being published at the wrong place and time. With so many great other stories coming from the Dawn of X, Fallen Angels just pales in comparison. It's not exactly bad, just obscure and mediocre with a confusing plot. It's not helped by the art style either, which is so dark and damp it hardly feels like a colored comic.

Despite Kwannon/Psylocke's continuity can of worms and all the bullshit of her relationship with Betsy Braddock, she has always been a cool character and this series actually does a solid job of providing the essentials of her backstory and relationship with Betsy, along with some great character moments and conversations with Mister Sinister and Magneto. However, same amount of thought is not provided to either Laura Kinney/X23, whose characterization and character development through the last decade actually regresses a bit, or to Young Cable, who just takes an L every time you see him.
