Meh. Ahistorical, an annoying MC who frequently says and does things that are just dumb, a hackneyed plot full of trash, and an altogether disappointing read. Great cover though. Also major “twists” were far too telegraphed so the mystery didn’t seem very suspenseful, the characters were just awfully slow at figuring things out. Skim read some of the middle rather than drown in the tedium.
