Homes: A Refugee Story
by Winnie Yeung, Abu Bakr Al Rabeeah
His story is one that westerners need to listen to, however, I wish there was more to this book. It's a YA book but not marketed as such as far as I can tell. Other refugee children who have written their stories have taken a bit more time from their childhood before writing (the girl who smiled beads, how dare the sun rise) and it ultimately provides more reflection and facets to the incredibly difficult experience. Still, I recommend reading this book plus the other two I reference.
