Tweak: Growing Up On Methamphetamines by Nic Sheff

challenging dark emotional sad medium-paced

3.0

The story of Nic Sheff's addictions is sad and shocking at times (intentionally so, I think), but if you are looking for insight into what makes an addict do what they do, or a sympathetic narrator, you wont find it here.    Nic isn't a very likeable guy and I wonder if he realises how he comes across -  arrogant, entitled and pretentious.   His writing style is ... not great.   After the 40th "or whatever" I wanted to scream.   I may not have loved the book but I wish him the best and I hope he managed to stay clean.
