I did not know anything about Cassandra Peterson, the woman behind the iconic character Elvira before reading. In fact, I only ever watched the first Elvira movie, not her movie hosting shows. Cassandra Peterson brings her trademark Elvira humor to the story of her own life. She proves her resilence time and time again throughout the novel. The majority of the novel felt like a fun conversation with a cool aunt. Filled with fun celebrity gossip, but also incredibly honest and emotional. Highly recommend to those familiar with the Elvira character.
