I Have the Watch: Becoming a Leader Worth Following by Jon Rennie

4.0

With his experience in the Navy, Jon Rennie decided to write a book with all his experiences leading a team for years and years later at his father's company.

Even though it is a leadership-focused book, Rennie gives counsel to any person that has to do teamwork someday. He tells how people are essential for achieving the goal, so as a leader, they will have to find balance through opinions, actions, and their attitude towards the employees.

He also points out that for being a leader, they need to have a leader's attitude. They must be accessible and patient all the time, so this way, teammates will trust them when it comes to problems, mistakes, or even some ideas that could help the project get better.

I was expecting more stories from his experience at the navy, but the ones told are interesting. The author explains how being in front is not something that will make someone better they will have too much job than anyone.
