This is my new favorite children's author- for no other reason then I'm convinced they want to push the limits on how much they can traumatize children and still be published!
Funny, whimsical, imaginative, and just slightly horrific for a child audience. I had no complaints!
Then the ending happened and I'm like oh damn.... trauma. I love it. Brilliant!
Just remember:
"It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like, so long as somebody loves you."
also your teacher may or may not be a witch-- who knows!
