really wanted to like this one, but I felt like the characters were always mad at each other about the wrong things (the anger was deserved imo -- just misplaced!), and the discussions of professional sexism (a recurring theme/convo) really fell short for me. I appreciated the conversations about industry sexism that started (tho I could have used more a intersectional take), but the conclusions of those felt lackluster (like,
did the hero & other prominent characters /really/ reckon with their own sexism and actually change their speech/behaviors based on that? I think we're supposed to believe they did, but I'm not so sure.
) There were also a few discussions about sexuality that felt lowkey judgmental and, likewise, unresolved/unaddressed, which added onto the misplaced anger & lackluster sexism discussions for me.
