It surprised me.
The premise is very simple: there is a group of 5 boy scouts with their scoutmaster who are spending few days on an island that is just close to their town on the mainland. They are supposed to go do scout things but instead, things happen.
Now, I had an idea how the story was going to unfold but it surprised me. The twists and turns are believable and I think it is one of those really rare books that spends some time with child characters instead of lumping them all together in just one headline. It was interesting to meet these five kids.
If you are looking for a good horror/suspense/creepy book, it is for you. Though, I must warn you, it has a lot of gore and there are pages that are very hard to read. Keep that in mind.
