Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy by Jodi Linton
5.0
I received a copy of this book from the Entangled Publishing and the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
This novella is just a teaser for those that have not yet read this author’s Deputy Laney Briggs series. And if you haven’t read Pretty Reckless, you may want to go back and start with the book that started it all so that you can better understand the characters. I think that this is going to turn out to be a must read series – especially from what I’ve read so far.
Laney is a woman who knows what she wants sexually and isn’t above going after what she wants. She’s a woman who’s comfortable in her own skin. The scenes are not for the shy because they are graphic – great daydream material. She’s a woman who doesn’t take any B.S. from anyone and she can give as good as she gets.
This author has a great way with words – with the descriptions she uses; you will have no trouble visualizing what’s going on. She also did a great job when she created Colt because I just couldn’t figure him out. One thing I did notice is that a lot of the guys seem like real jerks but that just seems to make Laney shine. The ending is an HFN, which leaves me wondering what the author has in store for our couple next.
