The book literally started with a magical pixie flying around so that immediately set the vibe for me. I knew then that I was in for a magical ride and I was not wrong!

Since it's a dual POV (which I always love!), we get introduced to Ryanne and Titus, who are seemingly very different people who would never have a reason to cross paths, so when it did??? Well, it did not exactly go well for either of them.

Ryanne has been living a double life for a long time, but it seems fate
(or some very meddling powerful fae...)
is finally forcing her to make a decision: live peacefully as a normal human or go on adventures in the fae world. And it seems the key to her future is in the heart (or supposedly lack thereof) of Titus.

Speaking of Titus, the way he speaks totally gives me Jack Sparrow with a touch of Barbossa kind of vibes - I honestly love him!

Plus, he also wields shadows, so really? What more can a girl ask for?
No, seriously, Titus is asking.
What more can a girl ask for because he couldn't seem to get Ryanne!!!

Our girl Ryanne is giving him a hard time catching her,
but then he sold her off to evil science people halfway across the world and absolutely broke her heart.
So I would say that he honestly needed to GROVEL more!!!

But I'm excited for the next book to see where the seas take them next!
