It’s always cute to hear or read stories like this, the ones that are told to you as a kid via mouth. 
While reading this, yes it was cute and threw me back to childhood, I didn’t really enjoy it as much as an adult. I kept finding things that were more upsetting than I remembered. There were also parts where for some reason I thought of Peter being creepy especially when it came to Wendy because he was so determined to be a boy forever.
