Warrior Princess Assassin by Brigid Kemmerer
5.0
I started August with a bang with this book!
In a funny but welcome twist, I thought this book was about a warrior princess assassin, and when I started reading it, I quickly realized it was about a warrior, a princess, and an assassin. More importantly, this is NOT a love triangle! While I didn't anticipate this romantasy being a polyamory love story, I was the very opposite of disappointed.
Honestly, I just loved this book. The world building was done well and in a way that was not confusing. Every character has depth, even minor characters. And the three main characters all have issues they are working through and are able to help each other with.
We get a three POVs in this book, which helps the reader not only with having more knowledge, but with the character development and how each character is reacting real time to the things that are happening. Brigid does a great job of knowing when we should be in each character's head for certain sequences.
Lastly, while it ends with a clear opening for book 2, I didn't feel like I was left hanging off a cliff. Can't wait for this book to come out and other people to get the chance to read it and I can't wait for the rest of the series!!!!
*Thank you, Brigid Kemmerer and Harper Collins for the paperback ARC*
