Poison Princess
by Kresley Cole
This was an interesting read. I liked the mix of paranormal and apocalyptic events, though sometimes there was so much going on that it was a lot to wrap my head around. Evie was a really weak character for most of the book. She was kind of useless, and I could see why Jackson was constantly insulting her, even though I didn't like it (the way he treated her). Jackson was a little too much for me. He was harsh, and honestly, just not an attractive male lead to me most of the time.
To be honest, the first 3/4 of the book (though it did have some really good parts) didn't do much for me. If it weren't for the last 1/4 of the book then this would have got 3 stars from me and I may not have continue with the series, but that last quarter was action packed and really good. When things started falling together, I just couldn't put it down. The end received 4.5 stars from me, so I decided to mesh the two ratings and give this one a 4. I will be starting the next book soon.
