i am going to bed. i will have hideous nightmares involving huge monsters in academic robes carrying long bloody butcher knives labelled Excerpt, Selection, Passage and Abridged.
epistolary books hit!!! couldn't help but feel how intentional letters can be and how heartwarming it must have been to share food, gifts and life stories with someone at the time, especially across the globe — something we easily (and understandably) take for granted often in the present day
even though i found the author a little too much as the letters went on, her career's journey of perseverance is truly inspiring. i have to say most book references completely flew over my head but i think anyone who wants something short & sweet will find comfort in this read!
