As always, McFadden’s writing always pulls me in; not my favorite Freida book, but there were still parts where I couldn’t put it down. Hank may be the only lovable character in this book, and the middle of the book seemed to drag on (I think the dual pov is wonderful, but reading the same scenes twice can be tedious). Overall though, I liked the book itself, and did not see the ending coming!
Graphic: Infertility, Miscarriage, Rape, Sexual assault, Kidnapping, Pregnancy
Moderate: Child abuse, Mental illness, Violence, Suicide attempt
Includes victim blaming for assault in early chapters, proceed carefully
