The Retribution of Mara Dyer
by Michelle Hodkin
Something that's definitely easy to spot is how well the author handles humor. I found myself laughing out loud and chuckling every now and then and at the right moments. It didn't come out forced for me.
Of all the books in this trilogy, I liked this one the most because this book featured the least Noah hahaha. But seriously though, since there was less of him, there was more focus on the mutations and the real problem at hand instead of at the romance and that's why I love it when Noah is nowhere to be found.
This was definitely darker and gory than the previous books and I liked how the ending was handled.
As much as I enjoyed it though, I'm not giving it 5/5 because the author seems to have this habit of dropping characters off the face of the earth. That was bothersome for me.
