The Essential Dykes to Watch Out for
by Alison Bechdel
It took me awhile to get into it because it seemed so... mundane but I grew to love it due to just that reason. People living their lives - all the ups, downs and sideways we all go through. It is definitely a very liberal lifestyle depicted here but I think it's story about love, family and values is one that everyone should take a note. Bechdel does not say what is wrong (except Bush and the Republicans) and what is right; she merely shows what happens when certain actions are taken and not taken.
This book and series may be over but life keeps going on. My life feels a little bit more wholesome after reading this (maybe a bit more lesbian too?).
