Lots of fun! In 1978, Rick Steves and his friend, Gene, both 23, traveled the “Hippie Trail” from Eastern Europe through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, India and finally ending their adventure in Nepal. Rick Steves came across his journal from the trip during the pandemic and transformed it into a travel memoir with photos. I thoroughly enjoyed tagging along.
