I've been under a lot of stress recently and this kind, warmhearted book was just what I needed! It's a lovely story about found family, with endearing and three-dimensional characters.

For me the only flaw is the romance, which felt very forced. The love interest (Jamie) wasn't a bad character, and I enjoyed his backstory and motivations. But the "romantic tension" between him and the protagonist left me completely cold.

Don't let this put you off though! It's a great book, 100% would recommend.
