THE BOOK that made me fall in love with Toni Morrison. What kept me glued to the pages was the contrast of dark, heavy subject matters delivered in the most beautiful satin-smooth prose written like poetry, words strung together in a mind-boggling way that could only be summoned by the brain of Toni Morrison herself. It felt like she reached a hand into my heart and just squeezed so fucking hard.
