2.75⭐️ Honestly. The fact that I had to re-read the first 40% after only a day of not picking it up is telling lmao
If you have never picked up a cowboy romance, this might be the first one for you, but I still probably would’ve rated it a 3.
If you would like my many audio rants on why I didn’t like it, lmk I would LOVE to share, but they are 100% spoiler-y.
I feel like we barely got to dive into any character or relationship development. The voice that Clementine’s character portrays is that of a petulant teenager that’s never been kissed. I said what I said. We did get to know Luke a bit more, but not enough for me to care about the characters that much.
Honestly, I probably only finished it bc I was doing a buddy read with some booktok besties.
I have many, many tangents I could go on, but I will make my parting words sweet and simple. It did not have good enough smut to back up the MINIMAL amount of plot.
I will still read Swift & Saddled bc I REALLY want to read Lost & Lassoed for Teddy & Gus. That is all. I’m out.✌️
