I absolutely love this series! Feels Like Home is book 4 in the Midnight in Dallas Series. It can be read as a standalone.
This is Katie & Dallas story!
I adore Melissa's writing style. I really appreciate the fact that she wrote about the MC having a chronic illness. With having a husband who himself has a couple autoimmune disorders, it really opened my eyes on how I sometimes behave around him when he is having a bad day. Thank you Melissa for that!
Dallas was a gem! His being there for Katie even on the hardest of days. I could totally relate with him. My husband would probably agree with Katie about being annoyed with the over attentiveness.
I did get impatient with both of these MC's. Katie for being so stubborn - pushing herself to do too much knowing that she will pay for it later (not asking for help)!!! Dallas for trying to do too much, being overbearing and making her feel like a "cripple" in turn, making her push back even more. Again, I think my feelings were amplified because this is my real life but reversed.
There was a lot of emotion in the book. Sometimes it felt like it was too dramatic - like their whole fight but I am glad they could find a common ground. It was nice to see Dallas find himself outside of the band.
As always, I love how Melissa brings all of the characters back into the next books. You can definitely feel the family vibes throughout. Even the sadness of everyone going their own ways.
I am so very excited for Luca's story. He is probably my favorite of the guys!!!
