I love the fantasy genre and I’m always surprised when an author builds a new world that no one else has shown us. The Queen’s Blade has many factions of beings! There are witches, vampires, demons, and shapeshifters! This is my first book by this author and I was NOT disappointed.

Witches are in power. Fey and her sisters are BAD ASS Blades who belong to the Queen. They are chosen warriors who protect the crown and its realm. After the unexplainable loss of one of their sisters, Fey struggles to let go, and her world is completely upended. Things that brought her comfort, are now being proven to be lies.

This book was absolutely incredible! It was FULL of twists and turns that I did not see coming! Fey and her sisters really are kick ass warriors. The book has me enraptured from the beginning. The banter between characters was funny and intense. The interwoven humor really gives the sense of family, friendship, and loyalty amongst the characters. The sex was HOT!! I need more Fey and Alastair!!

While the main characters were the focus of the storyline, there were supporting characters that I fell in love with as well! I LOVE Jasper and Ferris as well. The relationship between Alistair and his shifter friends was fantastic! I hope book two gives us more of Alistair the vampire world!
