Run, Rose, Run by Dolly Parton, James Patterson

I wasn't too sure about this one when I first started. The dialect and country sayings seemed a bit too pronounced at the beginning. I'm glad I stuck with it, because it was a really solid read. 3.5/5 ⭐️

AnnieLee is trying to make it big in Nashville as a singer/songwriter. She's been chased by bad luck and is hiding some dangerous secrets. When she befriends Nashville legend and a handsome singer, her luck really starts to turn. Soon, she's recording albums and is touring a small circuit. Soon her past catches up to her. As readers we don't really know what secret she is hiding or who she is running from until much later in the book. Some of the storyline seemed a bit far-fetched and unrealistic, but it was an enjoyable read.
