I read this in one sitting so I can’t say it didn’t capture my attention. The first portion of the book was slow and a little hard to get through. However, once the story was flipping back and forth between the past meetings and the present it seems like it hits its groove. Henry as a character was not captivating to me, he was bland and there was little about him that was interesting. Overall, I enjoyed the overall story but it did take a while before it felt like it had an actual plot and not just Addie exploring the world. I did find myself feeling like it was work to get through the present time chapters- felt like filler until the last fifty or so pages of the book.
