The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls
by Anissa Gray
It took me some time to get into this story, but once I did, the realness of the relationships between women (mothers and daughters, aunts and nieces, sisters, friends) was both heart-breaking and joy-giving. The way Althea, Lillian, and Viola worked through their pain with each other, and how their stories impacted Baby Vi and Kim, and ultimately redeemed them gave me hope.
