Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell
2.0
I read the first Twisted Tale, but I don't think the author had as much material to work with for this one. Sleeping Beauty didn't really have much depth to it in the first place, so I think Braswell was fighting an uphill battle. I'm also a little curious as to how much freedom she actually had in creating the story, or if Disney keeping a close eye on their IP.
The first 20% was of the story Aurora was confused and tired, and she obsessed over a feather. Not much else really happened. Then when things started happening, she was doubled over with headaches because of the memories that were flooding her mind.
And for some reason part of a chapter was dedicated to retelling the original story of Sleeping Beauty in case the reader has been living in a cave for the last 50 years.
I would have given it a one star, but the battle at the end was pretty good.
