Sugar Cookie Murder
by Joanne Fluke
Great Read
This was an enjoyable read. This is the sixth book of the Hannah Swensen series. I enjoy cozy mysteries like this one. In this book, Hannah is preparing for the Eden Lake Annual Christmas Festival. When preparing, a local, Mr. Martin Dubinski arrives at the banquet with his new Vegas showgirl wife he married just a week prior. Then, the “new” Mrs. Dubinski is found killed in a parking lot, and it is up to Hannah and her gang to solve the murder, while getting ready for the blizzard. Will she find the killer? I thought the story was great. The series is improving in my opinion each book. I thought it was a fun read to be honest following the investigation and see who the real killer was. I thought that Hannah was a great character. I found her witty, sassy, and interesting. I thought the ending was great. I cannot wait to read book 7. Peach Cobbler Murder, here I come. Overall, a great read.
