Delicate Escape
by Catherine Cowles
Hear me out, Catherine is the QUEEN of chemistry. She puts so much thought into the mannerisms and personality into each character that you can feel the chemistry coming off the page, even with the side characters.
Shep and Thea both have a lot of baggage, and seeing them overcome that together was SO cute, and that plot twist at the end? Did NOT see that coming.
Now with that said, this book was GOOD. However, the characters were just not my vibe.
Shep has a hero complex, he wants to fix everyone and everything and I had a hard time connecting with Thea, I felt she really took her trauma and made it her personality for most of the book and I really wanted to see her own what a bad ass she was earlier on in the book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
