Sweat and Soap, Vol. 1 by Kintetsu Yamada
4.0

I am so happy to finally getting around to reading the physicals of this series. It is a sweet and mature romance between two lovable characters.

Okay so the starting premise is that Asako is a 26 year old woman who works at a soap company. She tends to sweat a lot, so she is very self-conscious about her appearance and whether she smells. One day, she meets Natori, a product developer working at the same company, who insists on smelling her every day because it brings him inspiration.

Now I know what you're thinking. That is really weird and initially may turn you off from the story. HOWEVER, bear with me here. The romance that blooms between these two is more than what initially brought them together. The series eventually delves into how the two help one another emotionally in different ways. It really is a cute and mature romance that one does not see too often in manga. I would whole-heartedly recommend this to anyone looking for a realistic romance series.

Now for a fair warning, there is some spice here, but nothing too explicit.
