When Death Frees the Devil by L.J. Hayward

4.0

Pfffft, and you thought you had stress in your life? I think over the arc of this series that both characters motivations are slowly and wonderfully explored. That said, this had a little too much action. I found myself tired and tense and overall wrung out. I REALLY binged this, so that might be on me, but the pacing and the central romance didn't sing in this like it did all the other books in this series.

However-taken together this series is a 5-er. Individually I'm disappointed in this one (but like a4) and I'm a little surprised at the glaring editing issues I saw that throughout, but particularly here-at times distracting enough to make me wonder if I was interpreting correctly

Anyway. It was wonderful, and I'm going on. But what am I supposed to tell you. It's not Levi and Dom. In some ways, this was harder to pull off. It's another two super smart super hot superheroes who find humanity and love in each other against... Well the world. And what makes for a better romance than that?
